Curry Leaf Plant (Murraya Koenigii)

Curry Leaf, as anyone who cooks curry would call it, is a necessity when cooking curry (smart alec’s conclusion!).

Believe you me, no regular supermarket sells this, not all Asian grocery shops do either ~ only Indian spice & vegetable shops do.
It is also used in Ayurvedic medicine and is believed to possess anti-diabetic properties.

Well, it did not shed all its leaves in Winter as I covered my precious shrubs with anti-frost fabric during cold spells & kept my fingers crossed. Now Spring has sprung & beautiful new leaves have grown (with more to come) … oh, the beautiful aroma when you just pluck a leaf & sniff or chew.

The flowers and fruits are even more spectacular.
Note:  The Curry Leaf Plant is different from the Curry Plant (Helichrysum Italicum)
