Home-made Temporary Plant Warmer

It’s been a “warm” winter so far in Florida but a cold front has come through (45°F tonight) and my little plant warmer has been put into action again.  This contraption is solely for my “tropical” plants ~ my coconut seedlings.

The candle warms the clay pot and that keeps the temperature slightly higher, around the plants, for the night. They’ve done fine over the last 2 cold fronts, so as long as no frost is expected, this works OK.
