Share Your World – 2015 Week #6

What was the last time you went to a new place?

Last Friday.  With my niece & family from Australia visiting, we did random road trips and discovered many new places which would otherwise not even be thought of. 1 that really caught my attention was The House of Refuge Museum in Stuart. To me it was like walking into scenes of old movies I watched as a child on TV.

If you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories, poems or novels, other?  And what type of genre would you prefer?

IF I am, which I’m not, a writer, I think I would like to write short stories of individual immigrants. Being one myself & friends with many, it would be interesting to write as the 1st party; reasons for leaving, the journey, encounters, life adjustments … almost like reminiscence, yes, short autobiographies.

Out of your five senses (touch, taste, sight, smell, hearing) which is your favorite?

Taste. I’m a food lover, raw and cooked, and an exceptionally slow eater. I love just slowly appreciating texture and flavor that makes up and adds to the primary taste of sweet, sour, salty, bitter and neutral.

If 100 people your age were chosen at random, how many do you think you’d find leading a more satisfying life than yours?

50.  I believe satisfaction is very subjective and my perception of a satisfying life might be boring to another (and vice versa).

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am very grateful to have visiting family members arriving safely, being able to bring  Junior on kiddy-rides, eat giant ice creams and climb up trees without feeling like a overgrown idiot. 😀

Beekeeper-to-Be

Beekeeper-to-Be

Junior has actually opened my eyes as to how fast a 2.5 y.o child can absorb information and ask questions. I think we, the Accidental Beekeepers, may have accidentally triggered the making of another Beekeeper-to-Be.

Why's, How's, When's ... all those questions!

Using a mirror to brighten and view the hive’s interior without disturbing.

In the coming week … more clowning around and teaching Junior where food comes from and how yummy it is when freshly harvested.
