Return of the Monarch

She just kept flopping her wings, flying, hovering around so I ran in, picked up my idiot-proof snapbox and went out again.  There she was still … the 2-day old Monarch has returned to visit her place of birth (or should I say shell of emergence).

It was like she felt this was a safe place ~ all plants edible, should her taste buds call for them ~ and simply flitted her wings 4-5ft away from me.

The Return of the Monarch.

The Return of the Monarch.

  1. They are so magnificent. The way they gracefully glide is just magnificent.
