Photo 101 ~ Day Fifteen: Landscape & Cropping

I have always loved taking photos of Landscapes, especially during trips I’ve made (just for albums & to share with relatives and friends) but since taking up blogging, seeing such beautiful photos on blogs and learning some very good points on Cee’s Photography and Photo 101, I’ve come to think of  Photography as Art … better late than never, right?

So, for today’s assignment, I’ve cropped some Landscape photos with some of Cheri’s points in mind …

Rice Steppes of Ubud ~ Cropped the Lower portion which had too much shadows.

Godma's Farm in Baltimore ~ Cropped off grassy foreground to practice "Rule of Thirds".

And to ascertain whether cropping actually makes any difference, I’m using a scene I see everyday ~ a view from my driveway.

OK, I’m hooked.  Time to learn more, practice, snap… snap…

  2. Thank you Cheryle, for your kind and encouraging comment. I’m kinda sliding thru this learning curve & wondering why it took me so long to this point. 😀
