I Recycled Recycling Bins

OK, I have to admit it … at times I have bouts of Recyclo-Mania.
On October 1st, the county began using mega-recycle bins.

The Mega Bin

We will only need to wheel it out once a fortnight instead of weekly as that bin is so big, there is no way we can fill it and so we are going to save the driver 1 unnecessary stop.  In the meantime, I asked the question: So what will happen to the thousands of good strong bins that have been issued and in use?
Answer: Every house can keep theirs or return it by placing it next to the new mega-bin on collection day.

Came collection day, I decided to drive around only to find most have decided to keep their bins but the few that have them out to be returned, I loaded onto my little jeep. So now I am in the process of recycling some recycling bins.

What better way to use those hardy, very strong, excellent quality bins?
(OK, after I move the seedlings to planting beds, I might paint the bins’ external walls to a less striking color.)
Or I’ll use them to systematically store stuff in the garage.
Yes, this is my small contribution to Recycling. 777px-Recycle001.svg
