Share Your World – 2016 Week 7

What are you a “natural” at doing?
Being “siblingless” I have always talked, debated, consoled, scolded myself … not at the top of my voice but audible if you are standing right next to me. Some of the best decisions & solutions to problems I have reached are ones I have heard myself bringing up and deliberating. It’s a little strange but it works.

Would you prefer a one floor house or multiple levels?
Just 2 levels – for now. I find that with my bedroom on a level different from the living/dining area, away from the activity of others, I sleep better.

What was your favorite subject in school?
Literature. My father taught English Literature, specializing in Shakespeare and I got a full dose of the beauty of the English language with poets like John Keats, Alfred Lord Tennyson and Percy Bysshe Shelley.  When I was 14, one of the books read in class was The Barretts of Wimpole Street and that made me an ardent admirer of Elizabeth Barrett Browning and her writing style.

Complete this sentence: If only the rain… rain wall
would come in a slow gentle manner
instead of walls of heavy splatter,
my plants will enjoy refreshing moisture
instead of suffering from a heavy batter.

Bonus Question: “What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?”

I’m grateful to be in the Year of the Monkey  😀 I hope it’s going to be a good year. With my guests having left happily and Lunar New Year festivities almost over, I am looking forward to simply playing in my backyard, talking to the birds and the bees.
