Is One Really the Loneliest Number?

When I read a post by Michelle W. of WordPress asking the captioned, together with contribution from several bloggers, it made me ask myself that question.

Sometimes there can be more than ONE but they each can still live in their lonely self-imposed enclave. Loneliness, to me, is a state of mind.

Many a time I enjoy my own company, allowing free flow of thoughts, doing what I please, keeping peace with myself. Being an only child, to me, ONE is merely an ordinary state of lifestyle.
Am I an introvert? Yes.
Do I feel lonely when on my own? No.

So, is ONE really the loneliest number?
Subjective … it can be, if you make it so.
