Building the building

Ground got dug, pipes got laid and we got the date of the pouring of concrete.  Me, being Asian, again practiced what grandmas and grandpas used to do ~ DH & I laid some coins & padi grains under the plastic lining that was spread out. Yes, in the living room, 6″ inside of the front stakes’ marking and in the area marked for the kitchen. (Heck, it’s not everyday that I’ll be building a house of my design & my requirements, so I might as well practice idiosyncrasies & superstitious rituals of my ancestors.)

OK, so now the roof is semi-on; not the metal sheets yet, but at least I won’t get rained on should I be “indoors” (doors still missing though).
