What My Vermi-Pets Left Behind

Just a little update on my Vermi-Pets.
While further tending to them this morning, I found a little something they left behind after eating my old scrub… this is evidence that Cherokee uses 100% cotton fabric! 😀

I call this old, torn clothes' recycling.

Vermi-Delicatessen

Yes, Vermi-Pets got their calcium supplement today! I’m not sure if the “building strong bones & teeth” cliché applies to them, but they sure are ferocious eaters of food I provide… and I do provide, apart from the usual, banana peel, rotten veggies, coffee grounds, etc ~ worm delicacies like paper napkins & cotton t-shirts. Yup, even old cotton towels.

Vermi-goumet. The delicacy this month is old denim shorts! Yum-yum!

Aren't those little hungry things adorable?

They take their Calcium!

They take their Calcium without prompting!

Yes, they will greedily take their Calcium supplement ~ maybe they have been told by Mother Nature that it’s good for their “bones & teeth”  😀

And I get to harvest their Poop, like Black Gold, for my soil enrichment ~ Nature’s wonderful Life Cycle.

Wormies Feeding Day

Today is their fortnightly feeding day…. and in return I reap my reward of their “black gold”.

Doesn’t that black “poop” look rich? Anyway I also found that these darlings have finished eating my old t-shirt ~ now, that’s real recycling. The clue is the nylon yarns used for seam binding, these they do not find edible.
